Mark Morrow (Assistant Golf Professional & Pro Shop Manager)

Mark is originally from Omaha,  NE and still has a considerable amount of family there. As a junior golfer in high school,  Mark began playing at a country club and since then his passion for the game of golf has never gone away.

Mark started in the golf business in 2006 where he worked as a Pro Shop Assistant and Golf Course Maintenance Tech at Audubon Golf Club in New Orleans, LA. He has experience at 3 other courses in various capacities. Mark attended Loyola University and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration & Marketing. While attending Loyola, Mark was a part of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity and managed countless hurricane Katrina community service efforts. Due to his efforts, Mark received the highest Greek Honor Society Award (Alcazar Award) from The Loyola University Community Action Program.

Upon graduation, Mark ventured into the insurance world. After working 10 years outside the golf business, he knew he wanted to get back. Mark and his fiancee, Annie, started looking for communities that fit their lifestyle and passion for the outdoors and they chose Port Angeles. Prior to moving here, Mark called Garrett Payton (the PGA Professional there at the time) to start working at PGC. While here, he and Garrett further discussed how to pursue his PGA accreditation. We are extremely excited to promote Mark in this role at Peninsula Golf Club. His customer service, laid back personality, golf knowledge, and desire to grow the game, are what makes him a perfect fit for PGC.

FROM MARK   mmorrow@7cedars.com:

I feel honored and grateful to be the full-time PGA Assistant & Pro Shop manager here at Peninsula Golf Club.

Although I do not yet have my PGA certification, the plan is to complete Level 1 of the PGA Program in one year. Then Level 2 and 3 the year after that, hoping to get my Class A PGA License at that time. As I continue those studies, I will be playing and practicing here at PGC, hopefully teeing it up with and seeing, all of you regularly.

Overall, I look forward to broadening my relationships here at PGC. I want you to know that I want our operations to run as smoothly as possible. Our team here in the Pro Shop will be working hard to continue to make this unique place thrive. I am looking forward to getting started and all the time I will spend here!
