Mark has been with Peninsula Golf Club since 2021 and the Pro Shop Manager / Assistant Golf Professional since January 2022. Mark became a PGA Associate in April 2023.
Mark is originally from Omaha, NE where he began playing golf at a country club at a young age. Since the, his passion for the game of golf has never gone away.
Mark started working in the golf business in 2006 where he worked as a Pro Shop Assistant and Golf Course Maintenance Tech at Audubon Golf Club in New Orleans, LA. He has experience at 3 other courses in various capacities. Mark attended Loyola University and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration & Marketing.
After working about 10 years outside the golf business, Mark knew he wanted to go back. Mark and his wife, Annie, moved to Port Angeles in 2021. Prior to moving here, Mark called Garrett Payton (the PGA Professional there at the time) to start working at PGC. While here, he and Garrett further discussed how to pursue his PGA accreditation. We are extremely excited to promote Mark in this role at Peninsula Golf Club. His customer service, laid back personality, golf knowledge, and desire to grow the game, are what makes him a perfect fit for PGC.

I feel honored and grateful to be the full-time PGA Associate, Assistant Golf Professional and Pro Shop Manager here at Peninsula Golf Club.
Currently, I am a PGA Associate and I plan on advancing through the 3 Levels of the PGA Programs in the next few seasons with the hope to get my Class A PGA License.
As I continue those studies, I will be playing and practicing here at PGC, hopefully teeing it up with and seeing all of you regularly. I look forward to broadening my relationships here at PGC. I want you to know that I want our operations to run as smoothly as possible. Our team here in the Pro Shop will be working hard to continue to make this unique place thrive.
